A STELA OF
PRINCE AMENHOTEP
Carved from Sandstone, the top of the stela bears the device of a single-winged solar disc and an udjat-eye. Below is the name of Thutmose IV flanked by two uraei which hang down from the solar disc. The main scene, originally showed the prince making offerings to the goddess Selket, but his form has been purposely obliterated in antiquity, probably during the reign of Akhenaten (Amenhotep IV).
